Studio 12 editing question pls.

I took nearly 5 gigs worth of video and photos over the w/e, and I am trying to drag and drop it all onto the time line on Pinnacle Studio 12 in the same mixed order it was shot in.
The programme seems to prevent me from mixing these two different medias the way they were shot...it just groups all the video and photos together (albeit in the order they were taken).
I can move them manually of course But this will take ages!
How can I get it to show a correct mix of video and photos in the order they were shot in?
