I have just finished building an MNR Vortx with a bike engine, but I have had to use an old set of bike clocks on the dash. My problem is that I hope to get the car registered on an '09' plate and would like the mileage on the clocks re-set to 0000.

Does anyone know of anyone on the South Coast who could carry this out, I have already contacted a few companies but they say they can't do bike clocks

First these would need to be new clocks if you want an 09 plate as everything on the car apart from one major assembly has to be new.

Have you tried Speedycables?
The clocks will need to be wound back and calibrated to whatever wheel/tyre combo you are using. They should also be able to refurbish them such that they look new.

The car has been built with all new parts and that is why I am going for an 09 plate, I have a problem with my clocks and it looks like I may have to source a 'new' set

The car has a speedo healer fitted and the speedo works correctly, as verified at it's SVA

I will give Speedycables a try

ETA: You are allowed one reconditioned (as new) part on a build when applying for 'new' plate (as you said - I should really read the full post before typing!!)

Just had a quick look on their website and they only have pics of traditional clocks, do you know if the can do digital clocks.

I did try calling them but they are closed from 4.00pm..........you did mean the company in Wales
