Bus ride from Tacoma airport
Discussion
Never sure what section to put things in these days, anyhow.......
My No1 son is visiting his sister in the States end of the year, flying into Seattle, Tacoma I think they call the airport, anyway if she can't meet him, he has to make his own way to their house, and I know from my wife's visit last year thats a tad expensive.
So can any of our members state side tell me if you can get a bus from the airport to Carnation, guess via downtown. Thats Carnation 98014 if that helps, thanks guys.

The airport is called SeaTac, midway between Seattle and Tacoma.
You could get a cab from the airport to downtown Seattle, about $30.00, and then try and figure out a bus or coach to Carnation. bearing in mind the time plane arrives, whether it's a public holiday or Sunday and how the fare is going to be paid, I would be inclined to arrange a fixed-price private hire car or cab to pick him up at the airport.
Google will answer your needs. There are plenty of cab companies.

I'm originally from Everett just North of Seattle. The family always used these 2 shuttle services:
http://www.airporter.com/shuttle
http://www.shuttleexpress.com/index.html
You'd need to contact both of the shuttle services to see if they service Carnation, prices, Etc. as most of thier routes, pick-up and drop off points are North and South along the Interstate 5 corridor.
The King County Metro bus service would be the least expensive alternative but the least convieniant, They do have a route out to Carnation.

Many thanks for the links, will check them out tomorrow. Going over there myself in Sept with the OH, but hiring a car from the airport. No worries finding the place itself, for £45 I downloaded the entire road maps of Canada and North America to my Tom Tom Sat Nav. But my son being my son, only 27, of course money is a priority, and taxi's will be expensive.Really enjoyed my visit last year, at which time my daughter lived in Vancouver, but we had 2 days in Seattle, really enjoyed it.
