strong market?
Discussion
Hi All,
I've just bought a Tuscan, so it looks like my S3 will have to go. Is anyone tapped into the sales market? By this I mean is it worth my while selling in the middle of summer or just putting it on a SORN. Are prices looking good for S series? I've kept an eye on PH classified and the prices there seem to vary a lot, it looks very confusing. Any advice would be welcome.

If you,ve bought a Tuscan I would kep the "S" so you have a TVR to drive
Yes that is definately an OUCH.... Unfortunately I know where gamekeeper is coming from as I own 3 TVRs and I am driving a Chevy truck for my daily right now. (Might have something to do with my bookings to have all 3 painted at the same time.) If you have the space and can afford the upkeep of both, then don't sell the S unless you get your asking price and know it is going to a good home. I am always being asked if I would like to sell either of my "extra" cars and I just respond with "I have given the supercharged 2500M to my 18 year old daughter and the V8 Taimar has been given to The Spousal Unit so they can both live the TVR experience. Also this allows all 3 of us to spend time together with a common bond at car shows with 3 cars. Have never regreted keeping all 3 cars. Sorry to say that the younger daughter has her eyes on a certain "Porker" that a friend owns and says that she gets first chance to buy when he sells it. 2 out of 3 is still pretty good and somehow I will get over my younger daughter's ways of rebellion. (The Traitor).Difficult decision. If you can keep both, I would personally. It's just the upkeep and the extra money to 'pay off' the Tuscan I guess you need.
I would also say that if you think you will struggle with two TVRs and possibly won't give as much time/money in to them both due to the fact you own two - then I would sell the S.
Hard one. How do the two cars compare? What are we all missing?

Now don't get me wrong, I love the S, it makes good noises and is really reliable and looks good too. But the sense of occasion in the Tuscan is something else. Yes it's going to be a pain to look after, but isn't that part of TVR ownership? You know, I might just keep them both. Thanks all of you- even the grumpy gamekeeper.I would also say that if you think you will struggle with two TVRs and possibly won't give as much time/money in to them both due to the fact you own two - then I would sell the S.

I think you are confusing old and experienced with old and grumpy. Seriously I would keep the S3 for a while if you can afford to."Pain to look after" should not be the reason to own a TVR, fun to drive is. I think you missed my smily and I wish you luck. sTeVeR
