Comfortable aftermarket seats for the Elise for fat people?
Discussion
Its probably worth giving Lotus a call to see if they have a solution. Alternatively there are a very limited number of after market seats that actually fit into the Elise. Worth having a look at Eliseparts, Eliseshop, Hanger 111 internet sites and making some enquiries of them.
I'm sure you're not the first and there's probably solution. I'm trying to think of any well built Elise owners I could ask - someone might come along!

Thanks for your replies. Paul, was that on a new model? Would they entertain a request on a nearly new one? I would like to take advantage of the buyers market which exists in the UK at the moment.
And rather than spend £56k on a new Evora, spend £20k on a near new Elise (since we can't get both kids in the Evora behind me).

Were the alterations expensive, Paul? The one I have my eye on has unpleasant grey trim and I would like Oyster to go with the Ardent Red. The seats in yours look awesome (styling and colour).
Seat width is not so much of a problem as the height and rigidity of the side lips. Make them softer and not as protruding, and my weight will push them out of the way.
