Before filling up last night (46 litres) I had managed to do 486.5 miles which is pretty good considering my driving (A32 brings on a kinda rush element!).

Thats the furthest I have ever done on a tank in any car (and I expect it to get even higher in this car).

Whats the furthest you have achived on one tank of fuel?

My last tank (fillup was 60 litres) was 616 miles.

I am doing Basel to London a week on Sunday, and I'm aiming for 700miles :sadgit:

697 miles in a Peugeot 306 DTurbo.

Mind you this was in holiday mode (tootling around) and during the fuel strikes in 2000.

I normally get around 620 from the Bora.

a mate of mine regularly gets 550-600 out of his xantia 1.9 90bhp which is pretty impressive for a car which has done well over 125k miles!

im getting around 350(!) from my 3.0CDTi, im hoping this will improve with the mileage though.

380 - 400 on a tank for the Jeep - and its a 75 litre tank!!!! Costs about £55 to fill up....

You have to worry about a car that has a trip computer that does DTE (Distance to Empty - range essentially) but also a TIME to empty..... getting into the area of an aircraft....

Well it's around 650kms to Calais so BSL-LDN should be easily done, especially if you stick to the french speed limits!!!

Y'know Dan, I lost count of how many runs you did that day.

No sooner had I sent you off then back you were again. Same driver, different passenger! Good man!

My car actually ran out of petrol at Le Mans this year, I did a 'U' turn on the Mulsanne straight on the friday morning and it coughed and stalled as the petrol went from one side to the other, a few hundred yards later it died, luckily there were hundreds of Bentley fans who helped push us a few hundred yards to the petrol station. To brim it took 101 litres (thank god it wasnt my round!) and I burnt nearly all of it on that evenings drive back to our hotel at Saumur in convoy with four Turbo R's behaving badly, and a 1928 speed six that we couldnt throw even at 120mph. Usually I get 320 miles to a tank.
