Started when the hot weather came out. The look like a typical beetle, black shiny casing etc... Big pointy things poking out the front of it.

They're everywhere!

Got rid of 7 alone this morning frown

Maybe Devil's Coachorse?

You're supposed to leave them alone - they're predators (along with most other shiny black beetles) and eat up the bad insects.

Hmm, just googled them, and the ones i'm talking about are wider and probably not as long. Stereotypical shield shaped things...

Quite a few different kinds. We seem to have a lot of the green ones around here for some reason....



The technical term for the black ones is Brochymena, a sub form of Shield Bug.
