According to Circuit Driver mag.:-
"All 5 bidders have motorsport interests and the cercuits will remain in use"

One is rumoured to be Palmer, one is Rob Gravett (ex Touring Car) and a consortium and one is supposed to be BTCC team owner John Batchelor.

the winner should have been informed on Nov 17th.

I've heard from several sources (including someone who works at Brands!) that Palmersport are the new owners.

Apparently, they have exciting development plans which are awaiting local council approval before they go public.

Either way, it does seem we will continue to see racing, not a new Sainsbury's on the A20!

If they are waiting for planning permission from the Local Council I suggest they do not hold their breath .....

I was speaking to someone fairly close to this issue last week. Does seem like JP is the man in the frame. One of the bidders didn't stump up the necessary deposit and some others walked out halfway through analysing the books.

Surely if they have made a planning application we'd all know about it?

I was thinking that myself. I can only assume that it hasn't yet got to that stage.

Sound like the potential for good news though. Palmer does appear to have his head screwed on.

this seemed to have been sorted when we did out last t/day there a couple of weeks ago - jp is not involved it seems to be a consortium of 4 different companies/individuals - seems like everything will be protected and it will be positive for the circuit. we're back again 2mo so will find out if it's now public who they are.
