no doubt the car is in cyprus and is being sold on behalf of a dearly departed relative. Once the unsuspecting buyer mails his deposit by western union on a promise that it will be transported back to blighty. Thats when seller does a lord lucan.

these people are scum,

Here is the response I got from my email to the seller:

"The car is located in Madrid, Spain and so am I. We've recently moved to Spain and brought it with us.It's in showroom condition, no scratches, no dents, accident-free.2003 BMW M3 3.2 E46 CONVERTIBLE SMG and still UK registered. RHD, UK supplied (NOT AN IMPORT).67,000 miles. The price I'm after is 8,999 pounds sterling including delivery to your home address and full insurance during shipping. Please let me know if you're interested so I can provide you with further details."

I wasn't far wrong, its in Spain not Cyprus!

These people are complete SCUM and should be rounded up and shot. Some poor bugger is going to fall for this.
Is there anyway of reporting this to Pistonheads so the ad can be removed?

It's true people must be falling for this scam or they wouldn't keep doing it.

I'd mail them back saying something like "superb, I'm in Madrid next week visiting my family." and what how quickly they mail back telling you its sold.

OR, if they dont, book the ticket and get over there! hehe

I was thinking of replying - " Thanks for the email, I really like the car. As luck would have it I am over in Madrid later this week attending a European Police Force internet fraud forum, being a Policeman does have its advantages sometimes! I am sure I can get some time off to come and have a look at the M3 and will come with cash ready to purchase, look forward to hearing from you."

Bet I don't get a response!
