You're a bit like me - Every couple of months I pour myself a large glass of wine and watch that video repeatedly - might not be the fastest lap ever but the aggression and the sheer ragid-edgyness of it always amazes me. The way he is dispatching tuned P 911's is astonishing.

maybe not the fastest but it was the pole position lap for the 24hr race

someone may come along who knows alot more than me but i believe it was an E46 3 series (M3) But had a, ahem...(slight) advantage as it was modified using a V8 engine rather than the straight 6. I believe others tried to get it banned? Can someone add any light to the storey?

stock M3 CSL can do a 7m 50 and that was closer to 8m 20

Not including the GP circuit as well it doesn`t. `Tho I beleive if you go to Mtorque there`s a guy who could do it in a CSL with stock brakes (many beleive he`s actually the Stig).

known as the M3 GTR, ALMS car that Porsche got banned as there was no road car equivilent and they were getting a kicking

still eligible for this race though

Can't tell if you're being serious or not Shimmy But this GTR lap is SERIOUSLY quick! Versus that CSL time of 7m50s this lap is around 6m40s or so. The extra time is spent on the F1 circuit as they that in these VLN events (and the 24hr).
