Every year I come home from LM and every year I decide I want, nay need a Tiv

This year might be the year that it happens (once I've sold the VX220), so on the off-chance that there are any Chim owners in/around Southend that wouldn't mind me bending their ear on what I should/shouldn't be looking for, I'd be grateful to hear from you

Wow, you are serious about a Tiv -- good man!! Jon (Socr8s on pheads) had a chim and Bal (Phantastic) had a pre-cat griff. Might be worth giving them an email to ask for their views. Happy hunting.
