Am I right in thinking that you can not display a prefix letter that represents a later year of manufacture ... for example on a 'F' reg car the personal plate can not start with a 'G' ??

Cheers

According to D.V.L.A. form V317, 'If the number which you are keeping or aquiring is one which has a year letter, you will not be allowed to transfer it to a vehicle which is older than that number, thereby making the receiving vehicle appear newer than is actually the case'.
