Not sure if this is old news or not, someone has just called me to let me know, and I can't find it in a search, but apparently the British GP has moved from the 4th to the 11th of July, therefore no longer at the same time as PF2004....

I guess we'll still have the football to watch, but even so, shame not to have the complete package. Guess you'll be cancelling the big screens now Ted/PF?

We've just spoken to the FIA & Silverstone, and your info seems to be correct at this time, according to what the FIA say, although nothing has yet been confirmed, and will not be done so until Friday the 12th December.....so I guess we all watch this space.
Silverstone have 2 provisional dates, the 4th July & the 11th July, and they are awaiting confirmation from the FIA !
However, this will not affect us having the big screen at PF2004- there will still be the footy (Final of Euro 2004 will be on Sunday night, approx 8pm)

So is this going to affect GFoS as well...?

The delay in setting the date is because of the French GP. If the French GP has to move venues, or is cancelled, then the British GP will be moved to the 11th July, hence the wait until 12th December for confirmation. But, all the signs point to the British GP being held on 11th July weekend for 2004.

ITV-F1.com has the french GP as being canned, and the british one on the 11th:

Yes it does, But, IIRC, the FIA have NOT published their list of dates and venues, this happens on the 12th December 2003.

Podie- in theory, it shouldn't affect Goodwood, (the dates of which are June 25/26 & 27th).....a couple of weeks before the dates in question on this topic......

Shame though really....

As already said...we have to wait till friday for the date to be confirmed.

Good news for me...as I was going to the Brit GP rather than Pistonfest....now I can do both

Date for the Brit GP confirmed for the 11th july - yippee

Talk of the French GP coming back...and taking the 4 July slot - but needs financial stuff to be sorted.

Anyway...I'm just pleased I can make it to PistonFest

the Donnington Motor Bike GP is now moved to not clash with the F1, so we could watch that instead, prefer that to football anyday.
Even the non bike orientated fans might enjoy seeing these guys handle a machine, its impressive regardless of your preferences.
