The telegraph are writing about it like he's ground breaking, and highly skilled in his art.

Is it just me or a) Are they not the best tilt shift pictures in the world, and b) it isn't a difficult art, if you've got the right lens?

Am i the only one who thinks the Millennium bridge doesnt look right 'tilt shifted'? It doesn't look like a toy town.

Looks like they are done in PS rather than being taken with a TS lens to me

Pretty poor example of tilt, not done very well and bad coice of subject matter as there is very little appart from the bridge in the foreground. Also, it kinda annoys me these days that everyone seems to think tilt is purely for making everything look like scale models, Ansel Adams would be spinning in his grave if he knew! tongue out

Yes I agree it's gimmicky, but then it's published in a national newspaper where most of the readers won't have seen the technique before and will probably find it interesting.

Fad. Give it 10 years people will laugh at it. Believe me. like HDR. It's time sensitive.

Agreed, just because you can doesn't mean that you should.

The 'model' effect is only one use of TS lenses. I have a cheap Photax 80mm f2.8 but would rather like one of these:

- however I have no real need for it. And juggling with tilt and shift on a DX sensor camera is a bit hit and miss for focusing.
