Desperate For Tickets
Discussion
Chaps,
I am hoping that one of you may be able to help. I am trying to get tickets for 3 cars (8 people) camping and general admission. Everywhere I phone says that they are all sold out!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any tickets going or know where to try? I am really hoping to stay in Campsite Bleu.
Any help, much appreciated.

Either go with a package deal, as mentioned, or wait until you get closer to the event. People inevitably cancel, tickets sometimes show up here or on e-bay. it may make you a little more nervous not having anything concrete ahead of time, but I'm looking to pick up one more camping spot for bleu (I already have one) and am optimistic. I've also been called a fool before, so who knows? :-)
6 years ago we drove down without a camping permit, arrived in Le Mans about midnight Friday and bought a camping Blue permit from a French chap on the gate to camping Blue, it was our 1st year and it was the 1st campsite we got to, and we were completly clueless about it all, it was face value as well
Have things really changed, if you wing it will the French dodgy camp site owners not find a way to squeeze you on for a few more Euros

Did it this way in 2003 - tickets for Bleu on the gate. All above board and face value (as far as I know )
Have camped in Parking Blue before, Not allowed but every one does.
One year while the bloke on the gate to camping blue was otherwise engaged talking to someone we sneaked in behind him,( was on my Motorbike that year and it was pi$$ing down so I dont think he would of cared anyhow.

Don't worry too much - you can get them there.... BUT you must arrive early. Friday night / Saturday morning is not advisable.
I normally arrive on Thursday and the queues aren't too bad and at that stage they're selling the tickets on the gate. These tickets are sold by legitimate marshalls and have the face value printed on.
You can buy the entrance tickets from one of the booths at the entrance.
See - easy! Simply arrive Thursday!
