With Codemasters releasing the Xbox and PS3 F1 game in 2010 based on that season I wonder what they are thinking now the FOTA teams have announced their breakway series.

Potentially, if the two series happen next year, F1 will have Williams and Force India plus a bunch of newbies and the FOTA series will have Ferrari, Mclaren etc... F1 could be the weaker series as far as fan interest goes therefore the new F1 game could be doomed before it starts.

Of course one way to avoid this is to keep the game based on 2009 but as far as future titles go where do Codemasters stand?

hehe I think Max 'spanky' Mosley and Bernie 'short man syndrome' Ecclestone have got bigger problems to worry about rather than what happens to the official licence to the game!

I didn't really have my hopes up for it anyway to be honest, it'll never be a match to Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 3/4 games on the PC.

yes Totally agree with this, I wish he'd do another version, even if he just used this season only.

I realise it's not Max or Bernie's problem but it very much could be Codemaster's

They probably have paid a great deal for the license which could potentially be next to worthless if the teams carry out their threat.

Of course it might not happen and F1 might carry on as normal, but if it doesn't, an F1 game without ferrari, Mclaren, Brawn etc.. will surely be less desirable.
