Do Electric Windows Need To Be Working To Pass MOT?

SWMBO 328 sport needs the drivers electric window sorting and is also due for an MOT.

I've certainly not heard of it being a failure, but a normally well-informed mate reckons otherwise...

What's the concensus of the PH Populus ??
