A sticky for FAQ's

As the title says, a sticky for the same questions that keep coming up so you dont have to give the same answer "Working on it" or whatever

I just had a thought, I wonder if this question has already been asked and you did say "Working on it"!

ETA Even better, make it wikified and get the members to edit it!

No-one sees stickies anymore.

We have all been commanded to use 'What's New' to follow the site so never see each sub-forum's individual thread listings (and, therefore, stickies)

Part of the problem is that we have had to turn the search off recently which has made it difficult for people to find the threads (just look at the number of "Why is the search turned off?" threads in the past couple of weeks) The other thing is that a lot of the time the answer will be "Working on it" even if there hasn't be a thread already, which an FAQ would not help with.

If there is something big is happening then we do tend to pop a sticky at the top of website feedback (and we'll try to make sure we do a little more regularly in future) but I don't think a full blown FAQ is needed.
