Now, what's wrong with this?
Description: TVR Griffith : Griffith 5.0 HC, 1994(M) £8,250 Serpentine engine T5 gearbox, blue, magnolia leather, 47,000 miles, minor body damage, 90 repaired, needs paint and minor cosmetics, includes parts to finish. (I've left off the phone number lest Ted accuse me of advertising).
I understand that the "minor damage" would warrant a bit more investigation but, what's the catch?

And it also says "90" repaired which I assume to be 90%.
I'll phone them for the hell of it but why would you do 90% of the work on a "minor" repair and then knock it out so cheaply?
This smells fishier than twenty fishy things in a fishy thing competition with a very good reason for being fishy.

................I think if you know what you're looking at then it's certainly worth a look. Saw a picture of this somewhere on net. Had new front and rear, both needed spraying, headlights and fairings to go in, probably same for rear lights.
Looks like a good buy if you can get it sprayed at a reasonable cost, almost complete respray though, so I suppose you could go the whole hog and choose your preferred colour. Bear in mind it will always be worth around £3k less than an unsmacked one if its recorded, which with that amount of damage I would think so.

Can't help with the ad, but I'm wary.. Best get it checked by someone that knows exactly what they are doing..Phoned the man, it's been sold.
He bought it damaged (front and rear, minor?) and did the work himself to the point where it needs re-spray (complete) and lights etc fitting. Claims the chassis and suspension are all ok. Forgot to ask him why he was selling it if it was so nearly finished. He put me off, jeez he could talk underwater!
Says he sold it cheap because about 40 people looked at it and still no sale.
Not really a TVR fan either. Says they "get tatty really quickly" and are "one small step up from a kit-car".

Well what does he expect if he buys it in bits and re-builds it himself.
And buying stuff in bits and putting it together yourself isn't that dificult. And for some of us it's the only way we can afford a decent motor (see profile)
