As an alternative to going to one of the European circuits to drive an F1 car, is there any decent UK circuit where one can drive an F3000. (I know Aintree has older FI but on a very short and tight circuit)

You can drive an F1 car (even better) at Mallory Park.

Funnily enough covered on PH - www.pistonheads.com/features/f1.htm

Aintree Racing Drivers School have an old Forti-Corse F1 car at Three Sisters which you can drive for around £1200. I presume its a DFV or a Judd V10, I cant remember off hand which engine they used in F1. You get training in a FFord and an F3 car before being let loose in the F1 car. Dont know anything about it but it must be rev limited and Three Sisters is a rather tight and twisty circuit for an F1 car! Dont know anywhere which offers an F3000 car though.

sorry dave, if you ever need anything else repeating, i'm your man!
