Strange choice of title unless you know more about the collision than reported by the BBC. was the Police vehicle on the wrong side of the road or was it travelling within the speed limit on the correct side when the other vehicle appeared roound the corner out of control?

I do not know the answer - do you?

n/a

PS. We now refer to collision hot-spots, political correctness and all that.

my money's on the police car trying to cut the corner as going too fast to take it in lane, out of the two vehicles its spun the furthest off the road so was probably going the faster of the two. Either way hope everyone makes a full recovery.

Not apportioning blame in any way merely pointing out yet another police training car involved in accident

I know that corner very well. Both approaches allow a good head of steam to be up and it's deceptive in both directions. One direction makes you turn in too early unless you know it.

I have witnessed some crazy driving at stupid speeds by police officers on driver training and on public highways.
This sort of thing was always going to happen I mean this is on the edge of a built up area for goodness sake.
When will they stop taking stupid risks under the banner of training.

Lets see if they get charged with dangerous driving.........
And lets hope the female officer makes a full recovery.

I wouldn't describe roadcraft as crazy driving but skill needs to be proportionate to speed; howcomever, lets see what the cause was first.

There's no way the officer will be charged. If it was a member of the public, almost certainly. One law for us, one for them.

I've been looking for the update on this story giving the outcome of the investigation but I can't find it. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction.

With G20RG B informing us that the police driver took stupid risks, and both he and ViperScot calling for her to be charged with dangerous driving, I take it there has been an update.

Excuse me but I never called for anyone to be charged. My point is, regardless of blame, the police officer won't be. I'll put money on it.

My apologies.

I assumed from the wording of your post that you were taking the standpoint that the police officer was guilty and should be charged.
