Skid pan courses - are they all the same?

Afternoon guys and gals,

For chrimbo ive requested a Skid Pan Course, so that i can learn how to control a car in the slide - mainly because the prospect of driving my MR2 over the icy winter scares the hell out of me!

The two places closest to me are Thruxton and Castle Combe, although Castle Combe is a good hour and a half away - Thruxton is only about 30 mins.

Has anyone been on any of these courses? Any opinions on good ones? Does anyone know which of the two courses above are better?

So any feedback would be great. Also there is Goodwood ....

OP are you looking to take your own car on the skid pan?
