I'm sure Chassis must have provided technical assistance for this project.

The last V8 Mini I saw was in a speed hillclimb on the Isle of Man. It had a Buick (before Rover got hold of it) in the back seat and drove forward to a diff under the bonnet. Sounded great but torque reaction lifted the front and all traction went out of the window. Might have gone well in reverse though.

After posting the above I tuned up the old brain box. The V8 Mini competed in the 65/66 hill-climb season and was a product of Harry Radcliffe (BVRT). The only thing that made the dark green beast look different to other Minis was a duct behind the door (driver's door I think). It was a real beast and Radcliife had too much sense to keep trying to tame it so he passed it on to Piers Martin an E Type racer. After frightening myriad marshalls it spent its later days as a road car in the Lancaster area.
