That was Team Red Bull's "After Race Party" which was shut down at 1am and in BSJ

Aparently this should have been held on the Thursday night but we couldn't see the point in an "After Race Party" which was before the race so we took note of other suggestions and didn't bother with a party at all this year.

<LOL> this happens every year... surprisingly there is a lot of noise in the fields used as a campsite.. with people getting drunk and playing loud music... Its to be expected... you'd better book a proper campsite and not an aco layby next year and you'll not get the problem.

reminds me of the year the guys camped behind us, played loud music until early every morning from the wed till the sunday morning... then got pissed off with us when we did the same on the sunday night monday moring...

The only comment we got from them was " TURN THAT F**King music off, we've got to leave at 6am"

strangely our answer was " not if you ask like that " now even after their behavior all week if they'd just asked nicely we would have turned it down..

As it was we turned it up and made sure we stayed up till after 6am... They didnt say a word when they left but did look a bit tired... childish but satisfying.... live by the sword die by the sword

the annexe is a well known party campsite people work hard to get tickets for the site i certainly did ,just so they can make a bit more moise with out the hassle of other campers shouting at them .

no one minds a little noise- it's le mans, it's to be expected.
When a group of ignorant s have a sound system that would shame wembley stadium and play music at full blast until
4 or 5 in the morning, it's a little different.
From Thursday afternoon, we had derek and Clive swearing at 200 decibels, then NWA singing their charming ditty 'fk the po-lice' for a couple of hours. For those with kids present, not ideal. When asked to turn it down-albeit not very politely by one member of our party in the first instance, the answer was: it's le mans, if you don't like it, camp elsewhere.
Sorry, but to act like an immature prick (ie look at us) is not right. Furthermore, another of the party turned up to project porn onto the side of a vehicle, stating 'what sort of would come and show you something like that?'
Lovely when your fiancée is there for the first time.
No qualms at all with music at an acceptable level, or a few beers with new mates, but these were the lowest type of ahole I have had the misfortune to encounter.
The only humerous thing was when they had had a few beers, they tended to dance like homosexual Neanderthals.
Honestly, I doubt there was any member of the party that was more advanced than 3 generations of walking on their hind legs.
Very camp, very irritating, very low iq.
Not what I have encountered before.

The reason people go to Houx Annexe is so that they can stay up and play music without people having a go at them, even if it is on the Sunday night. If you can't handle that then maybe look to a different campsite next year.

If you can't handle the heat then maybe houx isn't for you. Saying that I was on blue lasy year and the crazy Danes were playing dirty techno till 5 every morning. I did what any decent Le Mans chap would do. Joined them and drank all their booze

i am half guilty of the music crime as our group did have a bit of a party on friday night playing ac/dc into the early hours but we decided that 3.30 was a respectable time to shut off we dident realy bother playing music on saterday night as we thought we exceded our noise limit on friday i think playing music is acceptable but just remember to respect others .

Kids in Houx Annexe........ What on earth do you expect?? Shame on anyone taking children into Houx Annexe..

Oh for the people complaining, don't go to the Nurburgring 24 hour, they bring a new meaning to the words 'wall of sound'.... Houx Annexe is like sitting next to someone listening to an IPOD..

Thats madness.

We usually camp on Expo, one of the quietest sites and even there you've got to contend with midnight burnouts and drunken Danes at 3am. It's Le Mans, we go to France, get drunk, get dirty and noisy for a week and enjoy a spanking good race.

+1 yes

It's well known as the one of the louder campsites.

It's a bit like going to the Stella Bar and complaining you can't get a pint of Carling C2.

ETA: you asked about this before didn't you, in this thread:

4 day party anyone???

Can't bloody wait
I don't believe I was part of the group you are talking about, we didn't have a PA system or anything and I don't think anyone told us to keep the noise down. Plus we didn't have a fleet described in the above thread camping near us. But still, you did ask back in May whether HA was loud and were told that it was. I don't condone the abusive attitude, projection of porn etc but in terms of noise and the late nights, it was to be expected. I responded to you in the above thread that it is not the place to be if you want peace and quiet.

I don't really know what counts as a middle ground campsite these days. Maybe someone else can suggest somewhere that has a bit of a mix to bear in mind for next year - somewhere that your neighbours will happily share a beer and a bit of banter, but won't burst your eardrums at 5am...

p.s. earplugs are always a good idea in any event!

Have to day, was my first Le Mans, and this was the only downside for me, having been up since 3.30 am on the Thursday, was hoping for a reasonably early night on the Friday in the hope of staying up all night for the race...

music Please tell me you weren't expecting a lovely scenic campsite where you could sit and listen to the birds and admire the french country side!

Especially with family, it might be better to go 10 mins out from the circuit to some of the less manic campsites, which there are plenty of, that will offer the camping experiece and costs and yet have a more social feel.

To stay at the circuit and complain about either noise, parties, wash facilities or over crowding..... people really should know better.
