I bought a BMW M3 shell with a full Custom Cages multi point roll cage fitted last year that was built to campaign in the Khumo Challenge. I had plans to turn it into a bhin 4.4ltr V8 track day special using an M62 motor from a 7 series + manual 5 speed box from a 3.0ltr V8 e34 touring but after deliberating long and hard have decided to go the whole hog and fit an S62 motor + loom, ecu etc. from an M5. I have located a complete written of car and just need to work out some kind of deal with the owner and can then get the ball rolling. The car already has 3 way adjustable Leda shocks with Eibach springs fitted and is due to have 380mm front discs with Porsche big red callipers with matching rears installed in the next few weeks.
The motor will be dry sumped and mounted low and far back in the chassis and the M5 diff will also be used if the required space can be found. Just hope I can maintain the enthusiasm yes

I will be going over to Ray West @ Thruxton towards the end of this week and so will get some shots but as of yet there is not really an awful lot to see.
