Just drove back from Manchester last night in the S. OMG it was cold. he car never heated up to 90 and the car was an ice box!!

What do other TVR owners do? Are the other models such as Griff and Chims the same?

Even colder in an Elise when the bloody thing locks you out for half an hour at 8am in the morning, then lets you in for no reason ('04my with central locking... what joy!)

Today I am late for work cus the car wouldnt let me in!

Never!

Well maybe once in a while, but only if you have an exceptional young lady beside you and don't want her to get too cold.

B*llox! make her freeze, you can always see she gets something warm inside her later.

I must say I had to admit defeat as top down motoring at 9-11:30 would have been suicide, as I would have died from hypothermia last night.

In this kind of weather they never do heat up to 90, it seems. It's to do with all that freezing air being forced in the front as you go along, though I can't figure why mainstream marques don't do it.

However, you should still get hot air from the vents.

Has anyone tried a radiator cover, lke you used to see on vintage cars, on a TVR?'

Don't they have a mechanism that can control the flow of air into the air intake to stop the really cold stuff going in, and get it from somewhere else, pre warmed (I have no idea where, or how.....)

I find it's the windchill that makes you cold - a leather jacket, or something with a wind-block lining, helps enormously. Also, keep a blanket in the car to go over your legs - preferably fleece, (and not tartan!!), plus insulated gloves, hats etc.

If the worst comes to the worst, the roof has to go on! (But only if it rains....)

Well, my Griff for one pumps out hot air all year round. First five minutes is a bit cool, mind. Then you just regulate the temp with the loud pedal - more too cool off, less to warm up again

Biggest dilemna is when you have hot lower half and fer-fer-ferkin-ferreezing cold nose!

What do you do about ears, though? Frozen to death or stick the hat over them and muffle the gorgeous noise???
