USB Port not working on Compaq Armada M300 Laptop

I've just come home to discover that the USB port on my Compaq Armada M300 Laptop appears to have stopped working - my usb hub and mouse are dead as doornails, though they were working fine this morning and work OK on my mates laptop.

I've tried uninstalling my USB root hub etc and re-installing them, but no luck. There doesn't appear to be any power getting to them.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong, and what I could do to rectify it?
