I'm considering getting a Fiat 500 in the near future but I believe unless they've been upgraded with a 126 engine and gearbox combo, they come with a non- synchromesh box.
I'm familiar with rev matching coming down the gears, heel and toe, etc. But I don't know about anything else. Should I double-declutch going up, I have no Idea.
Thanks, Dan

You shouldn't need to double declutch going up the gears, only down. No need to heel and toe it either. It is to synchronize the revs and avoid graunching the gears. Driving a car with the old Moss gearbox teaches you well! Nice little find if you buy it.

Not sure about the 500, although I think Gran had one in the garage, but many cars in the 30's and 50's had partial syncro-boxes, so one didn't need to DD on upchanges, to 3rd and 4th. I'd be surprised on full crash box, even with a small 500cc engine, that one doesn't need some way of reducing the engine revs.
As said you get used the rythym and engine notes.
