ok - perhaps the interior is holding it back? yes the mileage is low but for that sort of wedge, one would have a huge choice of cars available.

I am am looking for a 'vert for a client and saw that one but for some reason I dont think the grey interior is very desirable at any price point.

I have been watching the e46 m3 classifieds for some time and the ''dodgy'' interiors do seem to hold them back.

Estoril is a great colour for the car though...

Grey is not a popular colour interior, but I do think it works on some colours like carbon and mystic blue.

There are a few colours I wouldn't buy and estorial is one of them, used to love it, but think it is now looking a bit dated.

Not a fan of grey interior either and it can look shabby quite quickly. However I like Estoril and the two don't look too bad as a colour combo.

Best colour combo is Carbon Black with Red leather. I used to have Black on Black which was ok..

Its had everything! & all at BMW.
As i said in the ad, its been serviced on time not mileage. I'm only doing 4-5k a year, so if i went by the service indicator, i could possibly squeeze 3 yrs between services, which is far too much.

There are a lot of good (& not so good) M3's out there, but do look at getting one with a BMW warranty.
I had some metallic particles in the brake fluid last year, & the local dealer diagnosed it as a ABS unit valve faliure (the particles were the bits of broken valve).
The solution? Everything that had come into contact with the fluid was replaced, calipers all round, master clynder, reservoir, all hoses etc. Total cost inc fitting was just over £4k. No quibble, no hassle, they just sorted it & provided a free loan car for the duration.

Same story when i mentioned that the steering weight seemed to have changed & felt a bit lighter, though the problem was intermittant.
"ahhh, probably the power steering pump is playing up, we've had a couple of these latley. I'll get the parts on order when would you like to bring it in? Next week ok?"

Having the warranty really does take the hassle out of owning one of these cars & means you can use it as BMW intended & not worry about the horriffic costs of something major going bang, however unlikley that is.

They are great cars, for everyday use or as a garage queen, just get a good one.

Yes it is a UK car, i bought it from Rydale central (now sytner) in april 2006, then shipped to Guernsey & reregistered here. I did not reclaim any VAT when the car was imported into Guernsey, so there is no Vat to pay if the car was to be reregistered to the UK.

Fairly straightforward to reregister in the UK again if required. In fact all of my previous cars have gone back to the UK.

No heated seats by the way, the only thing it does'nt have.

i never understand why people always ask what do you think of this colour combo your buying it for you not someone else if you like it buy it.

Personally i would rather have a fully sorted car lower milage with a dodgy colour interior and to be honest Red with black is rather dated now too and not a popular combo anymore.

All you need to do is look on the AUC site and see how many Black with red E92's are on there.
