I managed to do something very similare in last week's wednesday night fixture, though I winged a seagull, not a pigeon...

I managed to take out a song thrush as it flew across a shooting range with similar bad luck. Some cretin accused me of doing it on purpose despite me being zeroed for 50m, the bird being about 10m downrange, shooting prone so no possibility of swinging with it like game shooting.
