I have just received a card from TVR.

Its what I would describe as a "luxury" one...thick card with glossy finish....with digitally amended piccie of, I think, a Tuscan s.wheel and display.

OK....great....thanks v.much.

But how do they know who I am....let alone where I live....I have never had any dealings with the factory.

Is big TVR brother watching all us owners.

Just came to ask the same question!
I wouldn't have thought someone with and old and slow (according to Mungo) Chimaera would warrant such items.

But nevertheless - thanks very much TVR.

Another slow Chimaera owner with an Xmas card here, although I noticed a Telford address on the envelope. Mr. Wheeler's signature, but distributed via the Club Office perhaps? A card to those who went to Le Mans to support TVR? Whatever it was a very pleasant surprise.

Steve.

HEY!!!

Can someone tell those nice people at TVR to go and spend their time and money building wonderful (beautifully crafted and quality controlled) cars and stop entertaining thoughts of pagan festivities?!

Bah Humbug!

I wondered that, especially as for one reason or another the car is registered in Jo's name, but my TVRCC membership is in my name so I guess problem solved.

Are these cards exclusive to Le Mans visitors?

I got one today - I saw the Telford postmark and thought it was TVRCC burning off excess cash! Then I saw TVR Engineering on it and realised they must have sent a batch to TVRCC for distribution to members.

Didn't make out the signature though!

Think that it was the dash on the new T440R.

Nice touch I thought especially as I have never had any dealings directly with the factory.

Santa knows everything - he can't bring you a new T440 but he can bring you a message from Peter!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, I wondered if this would create a thread.

TVR wanted to send every member of the Car Club a Christmas card and it was arranged through our the Club, so no info on members has left our control. Its daft but a fact of life that even to send a Christmas Card we have to be wary of data protection legislation.

As has been said it is a nice touch and shows the close relationship that exists between TVR and the Car Club.

Seasons greetings.
