Anyone got acres of space on their race car that needs decorating? I've got some PistonHeads vinyl lettering seeking good homes (Ok.. I'm on the blag!). Can't afford any sponsorship unfortunately but might be able to in future years (ok... another worthless gesture, but it was worth a go).
Ted
I'm sure i can find somewhere to put them..
Carnt guarantee the car will be at the front of the pack though, they've all got a year or experience behind them...
We are however going for the coolest car apporach, running it with no roof !!!! although not sure about the weight of the 10 disk cd and 12 woofers!!!!

You're going for a convertible? Brave man. Do you have to run with a standard rollcage, or is it free? Being roofless, you'll need to add a bit of extra stiffness to get the same handling characteristics as the others.
How does the weight compare (I know the car weight isn't an issue when you're dragging that many pies around anyway).
This year I am racing in several series:
LoCost, 2CV and Radical.
These will be one off races, but you can put the stickers on the cars. I also hope to put a team together for the 24hr 2CV race at Mondello.
Apart from supporting Thames Racing at several races, I will have no involvement in TVR.
Yep standard roll cage, although it does need a tuscan style extra hoop, cos my head sticks out the top..
I dont think the lost rigity due to having no roof wil be an issue as the fhc bodies vary in strength and the cage is very comprehensive.. any way.
The car is very light though, no roof and a paper thin body... it will bee to be balasted to get up to the minimum weigh limit...
I think you have the wrong pie to graham ratio, you refering to the ex-monkey boy

Don't forget about aerodynamics though. Grab a copy of last months C&CC. They stuck a Lotus Elise in the MIRA wind tunnel. It presented significantly less CD factor with the roof on than roofless.
Just a thought
Cheers

Beer/sticker trades very welcome. 22 inches wide, white&yellow or black&blue like at http://www.pistonheads.com/test.htm
Hopefully the 1300cc enduro, I sold my Ginetta G27 over Christmas and I believe a Radical would be a good investment. Until then I will be racing various cars at the cheap and cheerfull end, starting with the 2CV at Oulton Park on the 13th April. I have been told by the owner of the 2CV, that I might have some trouble getting into it because I am 6'2"! However come what may I will be at Oulton.
James you'll see a lot of me then we make the coverage for sky get you're interviewing head on - perhaps you might be interested in a new course for anyone who wants to make the best of the the media offered to them in the formula they are in if so contact this mail address:
