Doesn't usually run 24/7 but does over the race weekend.
If you're familiar with the DLR in London - they use the same type of ticket machine (so not as simple as they could be) and are French only.
From memory you could buy a number of tickets that were valid for any single journey and not just on the day of purchase - so if you know you will be going back/forth 5 or 6 times but 10 or 12 tickets when the machine is quiet and just jump on the tram when it arrives, leaving a queue of people trying to understand the machine!
