Pedal box and brake position - anyone adjusted?
Discussion
I have never been happy with my driving position in my Mk 1 so been playing around recently and found I am much happier with a more upright seat.
Problem with this is that now I really have to stretch to floor the accelerater and clutch (not at the same time!)
I attempted to adjust to bring box closer to me but wish I had read this first....

Whilst spending half a day down there I realised that you can adjust the brake pedal inital position - mine is currently in line with clutch pedal meaning any attempt at heel and toeing is impossible as there is a good 3 inches between brakes engaging and any tickle on the throttle.
Has anyone adjusted the brake to be lower - ie hard braking would mean the pedal was probably about in line with half accelerator play? Could you attempt heel and toe (I was just learning it in my old car)? Does it feel 'weird'? Any potential problems?
Are there any advanced drivers out there is suggestions on if this would be good or bad to do?
As an average sized bloke (5 foot 11) I am suprised that there has not been more talk of moving pedal box closer - means you can see a world more!

There are 3 sets of bolt holes that go through the peddle box plate, glass fiber body, chassis rails. Moving the box closer to you one set of holes is fine but I tried moving one set away and I couldn't get the rail chassis holes to line up with the pedal box holes because the plumbing behind the pedal box fouls the bulkhead behind.
