......If so, I have available a converted 2.8L cologne inlet manifold to fit the 2.9L (very rare) and Weber DFI 40 carb. This has just been taken from my 2.9L engined Tasmin race car. Carb would probably need rejetting to suit road use though.

Do you think there's any benefit going to carbs?
I am doubtful, though I'm sure it makes a nice noise!

Hi,
I may be interested too for the very same reasons.
Do you have pictures of the set up?

You can see the set up on the pics below. Not sure about the layout of all the other bits in an "S" series.

Will take some of the new triple carb setup at the weekend.

I have only ever drove this under trackday or race conditions so the fuel consumption was rather a lot. I would normally use about 18L in a 20 minute race so rejetting would be a must for road use.

Do you get any trouble with backfiring through the carbs?
I know it was an issue with the old ford 2.3/2.8 engine, with the 2.3 being the worst.
Many a granada went up in smoke! eek

Ouch!!!!!! Never had any backfiring through the carb. I understand that can be caused by a lean idle mixture.
