ZUCZ PERFORMANCE EXHAUSTS & SPRING SWAP

ZUCZ PERFORMANCE EXHAUSTS
Has anyone tried a ZUCZ exhaust on their Boxster or 911 ?
Is it any good ?
Any thoughts on lowering a Boxster by using aftermarket springs only, rather than changing the shocks too ?
Whats involved in removing the springs, do you need special spring compressors ?
Cheers.

I know someone with a zucz induction kit on their 965 Turbo 2 - works well apparently. Dunno about exhausts, but they have quite a good reputation.
You can change springs independently of dampers. It can affect handling if vastly different rates (ie some manufacturers use soft spring/hard dampers deliberately to give more comfortable ride). I think going harder on springs, and a little lower, would do no harm. I wouldn't go softer on the springs.
Yes, you will need a spring compressor getting the springs off.
All AFAIK.

Lee,
we must meet up i would seriously like to see your car, as mine had the factory -15mm drop rather than the more expensive 30mm one. I think they look a bit better lower!
One the exhaust side i can seriously reccomend a fabspeed exhaust, mine now howls and barks. Quality is superb and bhp is up (www.fabspeed.com)
From experience I would be careful about swapping springs without dampers. I did this on a previous car and seriously regretted it, if they are shorter springs then they need to be stiffer (to control movement over a shorter distance) then you find the dampers are not matched and you end up realising why they do so many development miles to find the standard settings.
