Steering column...Sierra?

Is this steering column from a Ford Sierra in the S1 chaps? I'm hoping to get a snap off steering wheel fitted so they can't nick it...

I'm fairly sure it's Sierra. It has the same triangular section into the collapsable fitting and the same mounting lug as my other car, also fitted with a Sierra column. I'm digging around the old thing tonight so I'll have a proper look.

I just had to check what a Chevette was, somehow I doubt they'd have snap off boss kits for that!

I think its escort Mk4 - but it could be the same part as a sierra I guess.

That reminds me, my TVR steering wheel fits directly onto the Sierra column in my other car, so it's definately Ford at the steering wheel end.

Isn't it just the steering rack thats Chevette based , all the top bits are Ford

Does that mean the bottom uj is from a chevette on the S4/V8 models?
