Just been for it's 1st mot, good news about the chassissmile, but the rear shocks are mulleredfrown

As i'm gettin wed next year so money is tight, so i need new shocks, and as much as i'd love GAZ, i really need some cheaper one's, or the standard shocks.

What are my options??confused

Thanks in advance..

so did tvr fit Koni's as standard? Also, were your koni's not performing well? Any reason for the change?

Guess they did ?
Only changed because replacing all suspension bushes etc, repairing and painting trailing arms and wish bones and thought "in for a penny in for a pound" we'll have new shocks and springs !
If they'll help you out you're welcome to them, fronts aswell !

Mike,

I cannot remember now, but did the originals have adjustable spring platforms....thinking about the new SVA rules, and that now many people have replaced the original springs/shocks for Gaz or Avo`s with adjustable spring platforms. This would constitute a suspension alteration, and therefore a few points nearer to needing an SVA, or IVA now, although IVA would not be required if this were the only alteration.

I wouldn't have thought the adjustability of springs would be relevant to the IVA/SVA. My interpretation of a suspension modification would be a change to the mounting points/shocker points rather than the shockers themselves.

I haven't read the rules but this seems sensible to me

It might be worth enquiring with Derek of Absolutely Shocks who will be at SCH09 on a half set of GAZ Nickels. He might do an exhibition special price that might just be within your reach (no postage etc. if you are at the show).

Just looking into buying new one's as I would kick myself if I bought and fitted yours, then they went after a year or so!(plus I'm not going to sch!) Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated!

How are the new AVO's?? Just found them on the tvrcarparts website..

Think so but not 100% sure, best ask whoever you choose to supply shocks
