FANATEC Wheel (Xbox)

Anybody know anything about this?

Apparently it'll be available with a clutch and a 6Speed box as well as the Sequential one.

Is it for sale yet, if so how much and where can I get one?!

yes I know about it.

I saw this back in december and it looked superb. Xbox, PC and PS3 (latter two with a dongle) compatible.

Belt driven rather than gear driven (which according to what I've read makes a smoother feedback sensation)

Put in an order only to find it won't be delivered until June 22nd!!!!!!

The wheel is a full size 911 turbo wheel. Been a while now but the wheel is all backlit with lights and I think it might have a LED sreen (small one) on it, but I may be thinking of another model.

Not cheap but those with a G25 can buy the pure edition which means its just the wheel (no pedals or gearbox) which will retail at about 190 euro. They have a sliding scale on their price structure which means early adopters get cheaper. I think mine cos 189 euros back when the rate was more favourable.

You can if you like get a complete kit but I think I worked it out to be about £400!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pedals look lovely though.

Clubsport pedals are apparently the best around, all ali and adjustable, the break pedal is pressure sensitive, and the pedals are (or one of them) vibrates under heavy breaking to simulate locking up.

I'm torn at the moment, I really want one but don't have anywhere I could use it with my 360 at the moment (that needs to be solved before I'd bother buying one!) and having a G25 means do I want to get rid of that and buy the Fanatec or keep the G25 and buy the Fantaec as well...

Decisions, decisions, eh?

Just got an email this morning from Fanatec.

Apparently there is some 'new' feature coming with Forza 3 and microsoft have asked that Fanatec incorporate this into the new wheel. Sooooooooooooo, they are now delaying it until September. That'll be 10 months on order then...

As a sweetener they are sending Forza 3 free of charge though. (would be nice to think that we might get it earlier than others!!!)

Do any other wheels wheels work on the PS3 and the xbox?

Have both consules and no doubt will get GT and Forza 3, dont want to keep shuffeling the steering wheels over on the gamer seat though.

The Fanatec seems to solve this so tempted, but alot of money.....

Doesn't interest me though, don't want to balls up either the wheel or XBox!!
