Anyone been watching this series? I personally think no one does documentaries like this as well as the Beeb, for all their lefty politicalness.

Some amazing footage of lava underwater on this episode: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00kwdqr/Sout...

I'm loving it - I want to spend some time travelling in the South Pacific & this is just making me want to go even more! Apart from the coconut crabs.

Agree about the beeb - if it was ITV there would no doubt have been some element of interactivity typically involving a premium rate telephone numberfurious

If you like this, they also did one a few years ago called "Caribbean" which might be worth keeping your eyes out for. Fascinating to watch & the bloke who narrated it had one of the best voices I've ever heard!

And have some pointless celebrity hosting it
