Hearing problems...

About last Tuesday I start getting ringing in my ears (left one in particular). Not exposed to loud noises recently, and despite having a bit of a rummage in there earlier that day hadn't done anything that might damage my hearing IMO, so put it down to catarrh or earwax.
However, it is still there now, except is has developed into a low rumble, a bit like a chavvy car playing loud drum and bass. It's driving me absolutely nuts.
Anything to worry about? Going to try and get an appointment at the doctor tomorrow in case it's an infection - had one a couple of years back.

Could be tinnitus, caused by some ear infection. However, it is still there now, except is has developed into a low rumble, a bit like a chavvy car playing loud drum and bass. It's driving me absolutely nuts.

I've had tinnitus for years, 30 years in fact, but about a year back it suddenly got a lot louder for no reason I can think of.
I also suddenly went half deaf in one ear a month ago. I went to see the doc, and he told me I had an inner ear infection. Some antibiotics cured it.
Go see the doc, get him to have a look.

Went yesterday, prescribed antibiotics, small infection apparently. Hope it sorts it, not good in my line of work
