Might pop down to Bourenmouth tomorrow as need to be nearby on monday morning so might get the drive out of the way and stay the night there.

Now I've heard its a bit of a party town and might just go on the raz.

Is there anything else nearby or on the way there (coming from the east) that I should see (before I end up in the bar).

I think you can see that I have no will power and already know whats going to happen but I already feel better for trying.

Yes but I don't think going to nudist beach full of wrinklies would come top of my list of things to do for the day.

A wonder along the beach in Southbourne?
The Commodore at the top of the cliffs is quite nice to get a drink and look out over the sea (even if it's not a special pub...).
Although there are some very nice pubs for food and booze if you want to stop elsewhere.
The Red Shoot Inn in particular (although to the NE of Bournemouth in the New Forest) is a lovely pub; they brew their own alcohol on site and is a lovely place to sit outside enjoying the peace and quiet! smile

Pop along to Lilliput and laze on the beach/swim in the sea/wander around the Japanese gardens biggrin

There are sand banks not far from the beach (well, for a kid to swim to wink ) and they give a fantastic view back inland smile

I used to live in Bournemouth many years ago and still take day trips back there.

First point of call for me would be the boat off the pier...I think its a turbo diesel, but believe me....dont let that put you off

I was down in Bournemouth yesterday. Spent the whole day on the beach looking at the luvverlies. cloud9

(In case Mrs Pints is reading this, I'm reffering to that RS6 Avant and 335d wink )

I should add that I didn't use much sunscreen (read any) and this morning it feels that my skin has shrunk by 20% overnight.

It's actually poo. Whoever thought of putting a sewerage works right next to the sign saying 'Welcome to Bournemouth'...

By the way, I hope you had a good day. Did you get caught in the jam trying to get out of Bournemouth? I caught the tail end of it at about 4:30 just before the sliproad to come off at Cooper Dean. A friend came through on the opposite carriageway half an hour later and says it started at Ashley Heath and stationery to back past Springbourne...

Same drill yesterday up Pickets Post way trying to get to Ringwood. Bloody grockles have been causing me logistical issues all weekend...
