Quiet nights out

Went for a beer last night after work, rocked in at half 3 this morning. Does anyone else have trouble with the quiet beer ending up in a session?

Worst thing is I've got to go out all day today for the football!

Often if I go out with friends.

We each say we will stay for a couple , and it turns into ten. Last night was no exception, and it eventually had me behind the bar (at the barmaids request might I add) pouring my own.

It's usually the best nights that start out as a quiet beer and escalate from there in my experience.
Last month we went out to watch the football on a week night and I ended up rolling in at 4am, and rolling back out to work 4 hours later...

I remember going out for a quiet beer after work, in Changi Village in Singapore many years ago.

I woke up next morning, at 8am, laying in the street outside the bar we'd had 30 quiet beers in. I was piss wet through, either mine or someone else's, and I had a huge boner that just would not quit. I then had to catch a bus home, with a huge lob on, no underwear, skimpy thin shorts, and the bus was crowded so I had to stand up all the way!

I always get morning wood after a few beers. Isn't it quite normal?

I do when I doze off on a plane/bus/train too, which can be quite embarassing.

Funny you should mention that so early in the thread .... but i happen to live in Changi Village and (aside from the bus journey) that sounds close to last night ..... i woke up on the golf course out the back of the pub in a similar state to what you describe at a rather too late / early hour..... .
