Sagaris GT racing at Silverstone tomorrow (Sat)
Discussion
If anyone fancies a day in the sun, we are racing tomorrow at Silverstone in the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) Super GT.
40 minute race for GT cars with virtually no regulations. We are up against a space framed carbon fibre Aston with 700bhp, one of Gerry Marshall's previous Aston V8s, a Mosler, Porsche, ferrari etc etc.
There is a full afternoon of classic Aston racing, a display of Aston Le Mans cars from the last 50 years -so should be some fabulous cars to see.
Qualifying is from 9 am and the first race is at 12.50
We qualify at 11.40 and race at 16.40
Garage 12b if anyone wants to come and see us.
Kind regards
Andy

Sadly we were down on power and a misfire spelled the end of our challenge during qualifying. We had to pack up with a broken engine.
The car could easily have run at the front - it was doing 58.3s laps in October on year old tyres with no flat shift - the same pace as the fastest cars. On new tyres and with the box now configured it should now be quite a bit quicker. We do need to get to the bottom of the cause of the engine failures.
