Sorry for what is probably a bit of a daft question, but I can't find anything in the search function to help.

I want to adjust the springs to lift the ride height up a tad at the rear as it scrapes the exhaust on the drive when I pull out.
While I have the car on stands with the rear wheels off to change the diff oil, access is nice and easy, but it means I can't do the usual drop to floor measurments.

Is there a way to measure how much each turn - or part thereof - will give me?

I've used the notches in the locknut as a gauge and upped it 6 notches but I don't know if that's enough for a couple of mm raise.

Ian,
Had the same quandry.
I used a dab of steel marker on the notched ring and raised it by approx 10mm on the threaded part of the shock.
I just repeated the exercise on the other 3 wheels, counting the same number of turns.

Right, I've wound both rears up 6 notches which is exactly 1 full turn.
Does anyone know how much this is ?

Dunno about Gaz but on Protech one turn is 5mm. It depends on the pitch of the shock body.
