Good to see you here, especially with a C3. There are loads of C5's and ZR1's about and we seem to be in the minority on this site.
Do you think that "Money Pit " should be included in the car's name? I do! - C3 Money Pit - it is interesting that if you hit the shift key when you type C3 it reads C£ !!! Mind you, it is the price to pay to have such a beautiful car. A proper Corvette. None of this High Tech stuff on mine.

For your benefit Richard, my vette is a small block coupe 4 speed with hurst shifter. I have uprated the springs and roll bar, polybushed all the suspension, rebuilt the power steering in fact all the steering, rebuilt the vacuum system and a ton more besides. The engine has Mickey Thompson heads and a cam with hedman headers and because of a tired carb, I have just fitted an Eddlebrock inlet and a BG Speed Demon carb. In January the car is Norfolk bound to Corvette Kingdom for a full bodywork overhaul and respray, god help me! Now you see why I call it the money pit!!

Hi Graeme,
Guess who?! (hint: I just sent you a bottle of Australian Whine!). I still can't help thinking that your respray & "tidy up" will snowball into a full blown, no expense spared, body off restoration. Keep us informed of how it's going over the winter (it's great watching other people spend money)?

Hi Graeme,
Thanks for blowing my cover! Besides, UKPaul would be a dumb name on a UK forum &, as I logged on when suffering from the night b4, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Now I'm stuck with it
Married life is no different to before apart from the still warm crater that was once my bank account (I used to think Vette modifications could be expensive until I was introduced to the extortion known as a wedding. Geez, you get a quote from somebody for something & then they double it when you let slip that it's for a wedding. Why? "Well, it's because it's a wedding, stupid").
Vette is running well, very well. I've recently swapped out the secondary rods to cope with the Headers (to richen it up) but the one weekend when I had time to test it out it was belting down with rain. Not the best time for WOT testing! I've just SORN'd it so won't know what it's like until next spring.
Hows life in Moscow?

Know what you mean about the wedding mate. I've got mine next October and what with cars, receptions, hotels, evening do's and crap discos, honeymoon and lord knows what else, it all adds up. When did photographers become the second most expensive things on Earth? Ah well, as long as he can take some good photos of the car, i'm not so unhappy! Mind you, the future in-laws are paying for a lot of it.
I wanted to get another car to go with the Z28 but have been told it would be "inappropriate" given the money her parents are forking
out.
Fair point. I shall just have to save up instead and buy it once a politically correct period has elapsed.

Paul,
Yeah I am SORN'd myself at the moment and as you know I have been playing with the primaries and secondaries on the Speed Demon, a major problem when you cant do a decent road test. I still cant understand why they jetted it so rich in the first place, I have come down 4 sizes and its just starting to come together. I may leave it and let Scott Groves man loose on it. I phoned him yesterday and arrannged for the vette to go down the 3rd week of January. He told me not to expect it back before September! They have 29 cars in at the moment and 5 of them to work on them!!
A summer without the vette! How will I cope!!
