Passport renewal

Slightly confused here, I had my first personal passport when I was about 13 or so, since run out by a few years, I need a new one, now on the passport form what do I tick

Renewal of your passport
Your first passport
Replacement passport if lost, damaged or stolen
Changes to your passport

Now I gather it would be the first two, but which one, as I need one for 3 weeks time or so, and I cant find my old passport for the number you need of it

Why cant they make it simple

If you can't find your old passport I would go with option 3.

No.1, just mention you don't know what the number of old one is as it's expired.
