SCV8 Calendar

Provisional schedule announced for V8 saloon championship

Supercar Promotions Limited (SPL) have today announced the following provisional calendar for the inaugural season of the all-new SCV8 Supercar Championship.

Visiting the major circuits of the UK covering the South East, Midlands, West Country, Norfolk, the North, North West and Scotland, motorsport fans will have the opportunity to sample the new series featuring 550bhp, V8, rear wheel drive racing saloons.

The cars will represent their mid-range 4 door cousins from currently, Jaguar, Peugeot, Honda and Vauxhall with two further manufacturers to be announced shortly.

SPL are now completing negotiations with organisers of supporting race championships and the full event timetable and content of each event programme will be announced shortly.

The all-new championship is a landmark for British Motorsport as it is set to generate over £15m for the British Motorsport Industry. With over 90% British component content and a 100% British build programme the series will generate over £5m of capital spend on race cars and engines.

In addition, with sponsorship and driver budgets a further £10m plus will be created over the first three seasons totalling in excess of £15m, making the series a welcome boost to a sport which is currently seeking additional funding.
