I'm after a 57inch 3/4 pool/snooker cue.

Want an 8.5-9.5mm tip, and ideally want it to split 14inches from the butt.

Got around £40-60 to play with.

Been looking at Peradon and Barracuda Cues. Cant find any decent Riley ones at that price that look nice (looks are a big thing too).

Anybody got any suggestions?

Thanks

Thom

Pool.
I currently use a 57" 2 piece (50/50 split) cue.

But its horrible, very badly weighted.

I want a forward weighted 3/4 cue ideally 57" but 55" will do if its the only option.

I also want a small tip as I play one hell of a lot of spin and also am reknowned for doing swerve shots (which i suck at with a wide tip).

I have a breaking cue (13mm tip) but want a better playing cue. (ideally 8.5mm tip)

Peradons are looking to be the best bet as they are reasonably priced (£50-80) are nicely weighted, and look good.

Only downside is they have a 9.5mm ferrul.

Where as the barracudas, where as they look ugly as sin they are still nicely weighted, and use a 8mm ferrul.

But I also want some outside opinions just incase I've missed any decent manufacturers in my search (dont want riley as they are too 'mainstream', plus the cues in the style I want are all 'Pro Signed' Cues)

looking at a Peradon Harrier 3/4 57" cue.
9.5mm ferrul (will replace this with an 8mm)
should be £85

But i've found one for £48 new, so im going to snap it up.

Then its a case off sand off ALL the clear coat, polish with furniture polish and then i'll be happy!!

I would go 7mm tip but I miss cue the finer shots with them (extreme spin shots)

so its going to have to be 8mm minimum.

Thanks for you help though.

Do you really sign up to a different forum for every single question you ask?

How sad.

I've got a Craftsman snooker cue and it's ace (unlike it's handler). They will make pool bats, and they are very helpful if you know what you're asking for, none of this mass produced bendy nonsense. http://www.craftsmancues.com/

worth giving Justin a call. He's very helpful, plays snooker + both varieties of pool to a very good level so has a good grasp of products that might suit. Has supplied me with cues for 9 ball and can recommend....

Because the pool cue wasnt urgent and was going to wait until the end of the month, but now i need a new tyre instead, so the cue will ahve to wait longer.

This thread started before my tyre got ruined.
