In fact, the mods are allowed to bait you and once you rise, they then ban you.even on first offence.

Seems like its easier just to ban people here there and everywhere.
Its a shame, there's a few very good people on here,and ph certainly isn't as good as it once was.

Certainly seems to me the site is a very poor relation of the one that Petrol Ted originally set up....thats what success brings I suppose. In fact, the mods are allowed to bait you and once you rise, they then ban you.even on first offence.

OK I know it's an old thread but to reiterate.
Nobody gets banned from anything.
We'll that's if nobody breaks the rules of posting.
It's very simple really, follow those eight rules and post till your hearts content.
I was around in the Ted years as a mod he certainly wouldn't have allowed us as mods to let some of the threads run that are around the Lounge today.
And you certainly would have got short change from CarZee the Gen Gassing (pre P&P) Moderator, when trying to post some of the stuff that members "think" is acceptable on today’s PH.
So I was a mod in the "OLD" Ted days and I'm around as a mod now, so what’s changed? IMHO only the members they seem to be a lot more mature and adult about posting in the old days.
So lets just give the "in the good old days" billhooks lets give a rest shall we, as some of us were actually around when "all those fields were green".

I didn't break the rules, yet someone decided that I did.You sure? that link was deemed OTT by a lot of members that saw it.
The mods are not the only ones to decide what is and what isn't acceptable; you'd be surprised at the number of reports that are received by some of the posts on some threads.

I can say without doubt that I will Never be banned from any thread or forum on PH. Why because I nowhere to draw the line with what I can and can't do on this website. How do I know I've read the rules of posting so many times it's not true.
If you inadvertently break rules in a the heat of the moment, and get a ban accept it don't bloody whinge or start another "attention w
e" I’ve been done over type thread. Just accept the fact that on this occasion "you’ve posted an I’ve got it wrong again Dad post" and move on.
If every member followed the rules there would be no need for mods, so the only reason we are here is to protect you from yourselves.

Consequently, the pub is now full of noobs and chavs, for whose lousy behaviour we are all charged and disciplined with.
The suited doormen CBA to differentiate between a noob and a long standing regular, therefore its easier to just get the ban hammer out.
